Dr. Velimirovich was born in Pisek, Czechoslovakia. He received his M.D. from Charles University in Prague in 1985, and was certified by the Czechoslovak Board of Pediatrics in 1988.
Dr. Velimirovich worked as a pediatrician in Czechoslovakia until he and his wife Karina applied for political asylum in the United States in 1989. In 1995, they became U.S. citizens.
Dr. Velimirovich conducted three years of urology research which prompted his decision to continue his medical career in the field of urology. He completed his residency in urology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1998, and joined Urology Associates of Middle Georgia, PC (now Oconee Urology) in August of the same year. "Dr. V." is Board Certified in Urology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Stewart received his B.S. in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia and his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. His two years of General Surgery training were completed at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. His three years of Urology were conducted at University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences, also in Memphis.
Prior to returning to Georgia, Dr. Stewart practiced urology for seven years in Culpeper, Virginia. He joined Urology Associates of Middle Georgia, PC in May of 1991.
